Wowcher Spa day with friend. Reception was understaffed and very slow. Should have explained the day to us as we've not been before. Managed to sort it out ourselves and enjoyed our facial and relax. Afternoon tea was a scone and a glass of prosecco. Little disappointed.

Would be an ideal local leisure centre, to enjoy the poolside sauna and steam rooms. But wouldn't use it as a luxury spa facility- a bit too basic and busy with regular members. The treatment- massage and facial was lovely, relaxation room is the best room of them all clean, quiet and as is stated- relaxing. Very reasonably priced cafe. Overall good value for money but as stated more a basic sauna after swim kind of centre than a luxury spa day.

After reading the negative reviews, I was nervous to visit but I honestly have come away wondering why a lot of the reviews have something bad to say about this place. It was clean, all the facilities were working just fine, it had all the essentials any other Spa has. We felt the pool was slightly cold, especially when families are welcomed to swim in there, however, it's only similar to any other spa which offers a plunge pool. We were very satisfied, I think it's a shame pregnant women only have access to the pool and have to pay the full price but we accepted it was as a treat. From a fair and reasonable cost perspective, I think it was a good deal with the treatment although it was for a short time, but I do think when you get a deal with things included, then essential items should be a robe, slippers and locker. I think £8 per person is steep for the hiring of these, I'd rather not take home the flip flops and bag, and hand it back at the end, especially when you give a £10 deposit as well as. Apart from these things, we would definitely be happy to return going off the facilities and cleanliness but perhaps not ideal Spa facilities for pregnant women for the price matching anybody else. We also met lots of lovely members who were really friendly 😊

Been a member now for almost a year, and really great place to workout and unwind. Staff are really friendly and welcoming. Plenty of facilities though the pool is a little on the small side at 20m. However great little gym, can get a little busy at times, especially on the free weights section. Food and coffee is lovely and regularly like to unwind in the cafe area after a workout. The only downsides I have is that the hot tubs do go out of action quite often, manly as a result of spa day treatment visitors who fail to use the pool side showers. After using sauna and stream rooms and jumping straight into the tubs. I wish the children allowed in the pool was pushed a bit later than 12pm, as many older members do get frustrated with children being there so early. I think it should be pushed to 3pm onwards for kids.

I joined this gym as it was within walking distance of my house. The staff are friendly and there are always plenty of machines to use even during peak time. The changing rooms are spacious and well equipped. The water from the drinking fountains isn't cold, which is a very first world problem, but if pure gym can supply cold water, then so should other gyms. Really glad I joined.
