Middlethorpe Hall and Spa

I have now been here twice for afternoon tea. The staff are delightful, very friendly, attentive and incredibly welcoming. The hall itself is beautiful. The 2nd of my two visits was for Mother’s Day (today), again everything has been exceptional, the food, the service and the atmosphere. As an added bonus, both Mums received a primrose each for Mother’s Day, such a lovely touch. Thank you to all the lovely staff at Moddlethorpe Hall from the very satisfied party of 6 in the library 😊

Came for the spa as a treat for my mum. Absolutely incredible experience. The staff were so welcoming and attentive. The food was exceptional, and the facilities were great. Laura was so professional and was very thorough with our treatments. Would highly recommend.

Yorks downton Abbey. Rooms are fine considering the hotel is 300 years old. What makes this place exceptional is the service and food. The location is very good also. We had a 3 course meal and it was incredible. The 20 acres of ground its set in are very pretty and there's a pool and spa toboot.

We went to a wonderful 'birds of prey' event with a very filling afternoon tea. We really enjoyed strolling round the wonderful gardens. We stayed one night in a courtyard room - the courtyard is lovely. Breakfast the next morning was excellent, and the hotel lounges are very relaxing to sit in. The hotel has a lovely atmosphere, all the staff were very friendly and helpful. It was a delightful short break.
