The Cut & Craft York

Some of the fastest and most attentive service we’ve experienced at a restaurant. The food was also to die for. Probably the best fillet steak I’ve had. The chicken burger was full of flavour too. Cocktails delicious and fun. 10/10 the best restaurant experience we’ve had in York.

Visited on a Saturday evening after seeing some pictures of the cocktaiks online. Originally we were sat on a table directly adjacent to the kitchen which wasn't great as there was a constant stream of staff passing close by and it was far too hot and noisy, after asking to move they sat us on a nice table elsewhere. The flat iron steaks seemed to be popular, looked great and were well priced. Our waiter explained what a flat iron was as we werent sure, he was really friendly and knowledgable. We went for fillet steaks which came quickly and were cooked as requested. The peppercorn sauce was fantastic and the tenderstem broccolli was delicious. They do steins of beer and the cocktails were great. Menu had good variety. Was impressed with the service. Would return- would maybe try the flat iron next time as I've had similar quality fillets and paid less but it was delicious.

Had a meal on Saturday July 29July 2023. Love this restaurant, as always we had the flat iron steak. Good value for money , we shared sides,had Mac n cheese, broccoli, salad,onion rings and my favourite the creamy mash potato. The ambience is fabulous, the staff are fantastic,especially Abbie, the perfect waitress. Will definitely be back . 5 stars .

Stumbled across this restuarant whilst looking for a place to eat and was pleasantly surprised. The decor inside was very good and the food was amazing. I opted for a burger with pulled pork which was possibly the best burger I have ever had. The burgers all have double patties and are cooked to perfection. I was tempted to return the next day to try the ribs as they too looked very good. The portion sizes were reasonable (side of onion rings could be shared easily). For approximately £30 each we got 2x mains, 2x alcoholic drinks, a starter and water for the table which wasn't bad at all

Absolutely stunning venue, when you walk in it smells beautiful. A really ambient atmosphere and the staff are lovely. We had fish and chips and fillet steak with mushroom starter and meatball starter. I can’t explain how divine the flavours were. So much effort has been put into every part of this place. Worth every penny.
