I visited York not too long ago with my friend. We spent our first afternoon looking for a piercing place, as never visited before, used google to find the best. Checked out reviews and portfolios of the_york_piercer and that was it we'd chosen. We called up and immediately got an appointment booked in (there are also walk ins available too). We was greeted in a friendly manner and shown where to go. I then had the other side of my nose pierced while my friend had her tongue pierced. The gentleman was happy to answer all of the questions that we'd had and was super helpful and informative with aftercare etc. I then jokingly said I'd come back tomorrow to get my septum done. He then said I should go for it if I wanted too and that was it, I was booked in again. I've only ever had nose or ear piercings so he was happy to answer the questions I had and how it would feel differently, again all my questions got answered and within 10 minutes I was all done. This is the best place personally I recommend for any piercings. I didn't get the opportunity for a tattoo but I'm sure they are just as great. We spent a good hour looking online and especially us being tourists of this city we wanted to find the best and we absolutely did. All the staff are friendly and it was a pleasure to be pierced there!

Had my first tattoo this morning by Sam. I was quite nervous but the whole experience was amazing. Really chilled and relaxed space also very clean. Sam was great from design to the finish product. So so happy with it. Will definitely be recommending the Talisman to everyone. Thank you so much 😃

Great experience for a first time tattoo. Laurie is a super guy, friendly and very helpful with advice. Erim did my tattoo, he was lovely, caring and patient. So good I had another, so now I have two.. Why stop at one right! Great place - I highly recommend it.

Absolutely amazing experience and quality if you’re looking for a walk-in tattoo. Erim was the one that did my tattoo, this was my first tattoo so I was quite nervous but he was brilliant talking me through everything and making sure it was perfect. Would highly recommend.
