Our Love For Dogs

Amanda has helped our cocker spaniel Rupert enormously! Like many spaniels, he struggled to walk on the lead as he was very nose driven. In addition to this, we sought help with his recall around other dogs. Amanda gave us all the tools we needed (games, tips and advice) to ensure our dog was responsive to us. A fantastic trainer who is so knowledgeable about dog behaviour, she has not only helped Rupert but has also given me buckets of confidence. I cannot recommend Our love for dogs enough.

Simon is an amazing trainer. We have only worked with him for three weeks only and already I have been so impressed that I have had to write a review straight away. He has made such a difference with my fur baby. Baloo is very strong dog and lunges towards other dogs. Already having a positive association thanks to Simon and his beautiful dogs. He has calmed down. He has such a calm natural way with dogs. I can highly recommend him to any one looking for a great trainer. He remains calm and positive which is having a positive impact on Baloo

I can’t thank Simon enough for the training and support he has given us with our two pugs , we worked on training tips in the home with stimulating games to help engagement , loose lead walking , off lead walking , been to different environment. Both my dogs were reactive around other dogs, we can now have enjoyable off lead walks, Simon has taught us positive ways to keep my dogs engaged whilst walking past other dogs , recall has massively improved. I had a major issue with my dogs fighting in the home, we now have had zero fights I am able to identify triggers and get my dogs attention to avoid fights if needed. This has made things so much more calmer and safe in the home, prior to Simons training I hadn't the confidence to let my dogs off lead around lakes water etc they can now walk off lead along lakes and canals. Our training is now completed and fantastic after care is offered also lots of new fun training tips and games to help maintain the training , so can’t thank Simon and our love for dogs enough , also a big shout out to Belle , Simons assistant dog who has been a fantastic roll model working alongside my two dogs on walks. All work was force free positive training which has worked wonders with my dogs they have responded really well with the training .Simon also helped with any questions I had along the way he made me feel at ease to be able to ask for any advise or help , One very happy customer . When we had our dog Cindy she had spent over 12 months in rescue kennels and was reactive to other dogs. We contacted Our Love For Dogs as they had very good reviews and positive results. Our trainer was Simon who contacted us for a consultation and we booked a 10 week course. We began with some training in the home which we then used outside to help with the training whilst out on our walks. When we first had Cindy she would be pulling and lunging here and there, especially when she saw a dog on the other side of the road. Simon explained that Cindy was just over excited to see other dogs, not aggressive. The training we have received from Simon has made us more confident in meeting other dogs on our walks and has shown us how to calm Cindy down before she gets too excited. We progressed to a long training lead and we have started to let her off in an enclosed area, and with another dog. Having finished the course it is now up to us to continue with the training that we've been given by Simon. We can't thank Simon enough for his time and expertise and a thank you too to his own dogs who he brought along to help. I have been involved in dog rescue for the past 20 years as a volunteer and have no hesitation whatsoever in recommending Our Love For Dogs to anyone, especially any new owners who need assistance with training etc. when taking on a rescue dog.

I can’t thank Claire enough for all the support and guidance she’s given. Archie’s behaviour has really improved and he loved working with Claire, as did I. Training focused on positive reinforcement of Archie’s behaviour and was always relevant to what I wanted to work on. We worked on training in the house, garden and used local parks to introduce new environments and stimulus. Claire would check in with us throughout the week as to how training was going and provided pictures and videos to support us. I would fully recommend Claire and For the Love of Dogs training.
