Great food, drink, service & atmosphere, we couldn't fault a thing. The food was impressive & they made every effort to apapt the menu to being gluten free for me. The pork loin was delicately cooked & delicious. The kidneys were the best I've ever eaten; so tender & tasty & not at all offal-esq. The broccoli & almonds were a real treat too, I should have ordered more. The house wines were fab. The Viognier was particularly noteable, more delicate than Côtes Du Rhône which went well with the pork. The smoked G&T set things off nicely. The food is not 100% authentic Francaise classique ( that's not a bad thing if you've ever eaten in rural France) but without a loss in quality or flavour. My friend was equally impressed with his choices & the attention to detail of the waiter. The lady in charge makes the perfect host.

Visited for the Birmingham restaurant week special menu. Extremely good food, well cooked with great service and a great value wine pairing

I visited this beautiful restaurant for my birthday with a couple of friends last night and it was AMAZING. The food was sublime, the service was perfect and the cocktails were spectacular. I can't recommend Le Petit Bois enough, go here if you want high quality, decent food, drink and service.

It happened as a matter of persistence. I frequented Moseley Village during last year’s restaurant pilgrimage. I walked past the space that Little Blackwood used to occupy. I really wanted to visit that finer European diner. It unfortunately closed and a cafe replaced it. That closed and Le Petit Bois slowly materialised. Who are Le Petite Bois? Given the name, roughly translating to The Little Wood, it’s no surprise they are the same people that were Little Blackwood. I chose from the Menu Du Jour. £25 buys 3 superbly crafted french dishes. Each were delivered with elegance. One of the highest quality dining experiences I have had in Birmingham. I’m going to have to spend a great deal more to get a French dining experience that is close to Le Petit Bois. I wish you every success.

First time in LPB and it was superb. It's a friendly neighbourhood bistro with beautiful cooking. Although tempted to order the turbot or seafood platter in advance, we opted for the normal menu options. We had moule and scallops to start, followed by a sublime skate dish from the specials. Aside from the food, they also have a nice selection of cocktails and mocktails, and a small but carefully chosen wine list. Staff were a delight. They fully deserve their Michelin mention
