Matt, Laura and the wonderful team at Glimpse have been amazing and I am over the moon with my new Mykita glasses. A warm welcome, friendly environment, and exciting collection of high quality, unusual frames are just some of the many reasons why I will only go to Glimpse moving forward, and have recommended them to all of my family and friends.

I love Glimpse Opticians as the glasses selection is more unique than the standard high street opticians. If you want something more interesting then this is the place to come. I purchased a pair of normal glasses and a pair of sunglasses and I'm extremely happy with both. The service from Matt was excellent and he took the time to make sure I was 100% happy with my purchase and trust me, I take a while when choosing new glasses. I'll be back when I'm looking to purchase my next pair. Thank you!!

I popped into glimpse on the off chance to view their range of glasses and experienced a level of friendless, advice and interest that I felt was lacking from the mainstream opticians. The service from booking, eye-test ordering glasses in store and 2nd pair from a third party, was excellent and the feedback on the style of glasses felt honest. Special call out to Emma who kept me advised of progress (ordering, delivery, pick up, etc..) throughout the whole experience and strove to work around times that suited me; I don't think I've ever felt so welcomed at an opticians! I highly recommend Glimpse :)

I note there are a lot of very good reviews for Glimpse - I’m not one for making reviews generally but I really didn’t have a good experience so I thought it would only be fair to write a description of my experience. I arranged and booked in for an eye test and contact lens test via email and Glimpse were very quick to respond. I turned up for my appointment and again, everything was fine (apart from some slightly awkward machine issues the optician was having with the machine which took several minutes to sort out while I was having my tests). I left feeling ok about the place. I followed up via email as the invoice they provided me with was incorrect, so I just requested them to amend it to be correct. The shop assistant even mentioned before I left that if there was anything wrong with the invoice, to just email and they will sort it out. I had also looked at a pair of glasses from the shop which I really liked. Glimpse had emailed me a photo and quotation, but I followed up with a few basic questions via email - the brand / make of the frame and noted my previous correspondence with Glimpse when booking the appointment which said that new customers get £50 off their first frame so I wanted to check if this still applied and why it hadn’t been included in their quotation. I chased on my emails a week after my appointment and still got no response. I followed-up again more firmly at the end of the week as by this point I really didn’t know why it was so difficult to provide an updated invoice, particularly when you’ve paid for a premium service. They finally followed up with a poor excuse saying they had been getting ‘Mail delivery failure’ and an apology. They had my contact details so I don’t know why they couldn’t just give me a call if they were having problems. To top it all off, due to being ignored by Glimpse I went to another optician to purchase some glasses. Upon providing me with the prescription Glimpse gave me, it was 1) dated with the incorrect year(!) so the opticians were close to rejecting the prescription and 2) it was missing a lot of the information required that’s actually needed when ordering glasses, and I have no idea why this wasn’t filled out - so I’m now left with an incomplete and incorrectly dated prescription. The new opticians had to awkwardly call Glimpse to glean the information needed to purchase a pair of glasses. Overall, I’m very dissatisfied with the service I received, especially when I paid a premium price (£95) for a very poor service.

The Glimpse team were great! I wanted to get a pair of nice glasses ready for my wedding. When I went in with my now wife to have a look at what frames they had I felt like the glasses were to fashionable for me but the shop assistant reassured me they weren't and my cheap frames would be classed as fashionable. I booked an eye test and then picked a pair of Lindberg frames to customise. I was a little apprehensive as I hadn't seen the frames in the colours I had picked for them. But they came back spot on a look amazing! I then went in to get my sun glasses reglazed and they sorted that out and even made it possible to not have to give them my frames so I could continue to wear them. Although they are a little pricy you get what you pay for! And I don't think I will ever be able to go any where else for glasses.
