Had a guided tour by Sir Thomas Holte from in period dress from 1643, very good indeed. Great Hall to visit, very historic surrounded by modern Birmingham. Souvenir shop, cafe and toilets. Well worth a visit, but you have to pay entrance fee of £11 adults.

Great place for a nice day out with the family. Highly recommend it. The staff were nice the place is packed with history and it is not too busy.

So much beauty is collected here! Amazing gardens which you can enjoy for free but if you are curious for more history then you need to enter the house! It is very well kept and you can explore all the rooms. Nice coffee with nice food in the house.

I went on a Sunday and it was fairly quiet. About a 10-15 minute walk from the train station but easy to get to. The house opened at midday so I walked around the gardens, which were lovely! The staff were really friendly and helpful! If you have a student art pass card you can get free entry on the door! The house was gorgeous. There was lots of really interesting information which didn’t try to make light of how the family got their money and also the drama of the house!
