Toro's Steakhouse Blackburn

New branch of Toros opened in Blackburn. It’s a lovely place for family dinners or a catch up with friends and loved ones. Good was great! Limited menu due to new store and training staff. The service and atmosphere I cannot fault. The staff were all very accommodating. Look forward to visiting again soon!

The restaurant did have a sign up to say they are still training their staff so my review is based on that and the experience I had. To add to this it was very busy when I went. We got lucky and got seated straight away as it was only 2 adults and my 2 kids who could sit on a high chair. The menu has a vast range of food available. The waitress was honest when we asked for the more expensive steak that they currently don't have this and took our order and repeated it back. The food came out very quick and we got everything we ordered except for the mojito. We had to ask for that three times before it came, but on all occasions the staff were really polite and apologised for missing this out. The steak (we got one sirloin and one ribeye) were both overcooked. We asked for medium but to be fair we didn't complain about this as we understood the staff are currently training and are new to this and it can easily be overcooked. The meat was of good quality including the lamb chops. The portion sizes were generous. Staff - very polite, helpful and are attentive Atmosphere - very well decorated and the music isn't too loud so you can have a conversation Price - reasonable for 2 adults and 2 kids we spent £70 (two mains and 2 starters, 4 drinks) Overall I enjoyed the meal and I would go back. Blackburn doesn't have a steakhouse and it's nice they offer a variety of meats including chicken, lamb, beef and ribs. They also have seafood and vegetarian options too.

Turned up to be greeted with a sign on the door stating staff are in training and only a selection of the menu available. We was then told it was cash only so would need to go to the cash machine, wish i had just decided to go somewhere else at this point. We were seated and passed the menus. Not asked if we wanted any drinks or anything and left for 15 minutes, after we was finally paid some form of attention someone came and took our order. I went for the t-bone sizzler and my partner had the sirloin sizzler and we had a garlic bread with cheese to share. The food came out promptly although i sent mine back as i requested no beans and it came with my meal. I then had to send my steak back as it was literally raw in places. I did request medium rare but this was literally raw. The food was of a good standard and tasted nice. After finishing our meal the empty plates were left on the table for 10 minutes or so before they were cleared away. This is where things went downhill even more, we was basically left unattended to for a further 35-40 minutes and only then was we seen to because we asked for the bill. We was going to get a dessert but after being left for such a long period of time literally looking at members of staff stood in groups talking between themselves whilst we became more and more frustrated we decided to not bother. After seing previous reviews from months ago it seems that there are still issues with staff training and no card taken as payment, which for a restaurant in this day in age is absolutely ridiculous. Overall it just seemed that they employ school leavers to keep the wage bill down and are not trained to any sort of standard of service you would expect when eating out, especially when there was only about 10 customers in the restaurant and 8 or so members of staff.... We definitely wont be returning.

I have been to the branches in Bradford, Manchester and a couple down south. The Blackburn one I feel has the best atmosphere and layout. I was with 10 big lads. The waitress was very attentive & gave us fantastic service. The food was amazing. No complaints from us. Well done bruv!

Amazing atmosphere amazing food Thank you for the service the food & drinks also staff was bang on the sizzlers and daiquiris were extremely nice and staff were so welcoming towards us from start to finish cant wait to come again hugggeee portions too 👍🏼 thumbs up from my little family!
