After arriving to the hotel the checking in was great. Once entering our room we found the air conditioning was broken, bed was very uncomfortable, not the standard of a suite we was expecting. The shower was very poor and you could see that there used to be a tv above the bath but had replaced with a mirror which again the workmanship wasn’t the best. When going down to the bar we asked for a bottle of Chablis, which is on the wine list but the bar staff was not aware of what it was and when they did find out what we was asking for couldn’t get it for us as only the manager has access the the cellar and they was off sick. We then went into the restaurant for ‘a meal” to be yet again disappoint with the food selection and yet again the Chablis wine was listed and recommended on the menu but no one had access to get us a bottle or know what we was asking for??? At no point was there a sincere apology about these issues we was just constantly told that the staff where all new and still training. Then the receptionist came over (more experienced) explaining to us that she had access to the cellar and apologized that no one had approached her but by this stage we had received an unpalatable soup, which wasn’t consumed and we was told that they didn’t think they could ‘knock it off the bill’. All the food received was very substandard and not in line with the prices charged. The receptionist tried her best to try and make things better on the evening (she was great) and rectify some issues but the next morning when we approached the day time reception staff about NOT having any robes or slippers in the room to use the pool area, we was told that the hotel does supply these items. We have never been to any hotel that has spa facilities that don’t have these items has standard, after being told by the the receptionist that she had stayed in 6* accommodation and never had these items since COVID 19, which we personally haven’t experienced but she was very adamant about this statement, we left very disappointed with her response. The spa/pool staff where much more accommodating and allowed us to take one of the robes from there because we was TOLD by the receptionist that we should get redressed to go up to our room to get showered and dressed!!!! We’ve never experienced this level of service!!!! We feel the this hotel needs some MASSIVE staff training in hospitality and some big maintenance needs following through. We really enjoyed our treatments, the pool and the Jacuzzi. But the lunch was poor quality for a 4 star hotel. The robes are only available in one size, they don't fit anyone above a size 16.

Great experience. Staff were so friendly in the spa. A relaxing day with great treatments. Food was lovely but a bit of a wait. Drinks a bit pricey...almost £8 for 2 lattes!

Lovely place to stay. Booked as a package and worth every penny.. greeted at the reception desk by a lovely man who took time to explain what we had included in our stay. The room was clean and well presented and the beds were so comfy! The spa area was very relaxing and the massage was by far the best one I’ve had. I would return just for that alone! Food was good, not a lot of choice for evening meal but what we had was enjoyable. The breakfast was great. Lots of choice and we left with full bellies! Definitely recommend

My husband and I stayed here for our Wedding Anniversary and had a fantastic stay. I booked the spa break through a third party website however I later found the same offer on the Marriott website. We stayed on a Sunday evening and the hotel was very quiet. The staff were attentive and the room was beautiful. The only let down was a view of the roof and maintenance rooms. The bed, however, was very comfortable with a very clean and well stocked en suite, with both a shower and a bath. The spa was fantastic, a pool, hot tub, steam room and sauna. My husband and I both had a massage which were tailored to our needs. A very relaxing experience which I would highly recommend. The restaurant was quiet in the evening but had enough people for a good atmosphere. Service was quick and the meals delicious. In the morning, the breakfast was fantastic with a wonderful gentleman serving and making people feel so welcome and comfortable. A lovely experience and we would definitely go back again.
