I paid for an advice session. The lawyer was supposed to talk me through the application from start to finish. Instead, she expected me to ask questions which was not very helpful as I’m not a lawyer so I wouldn’t know a comprehensive list of the things I need to be aware of or ask. She wasn’t sure of some of the things I asked. Furthermore, she said she would send me an email with a summary of what we discussed as well as some helpful information to the application which could have been a saving grace to that advice session. I did not receive an email. I got in touch and explained this and was assured it would be sorted out but it was not. I feel like it was a waste of money and offered very poor value and the lawyer was not prepared at all, I felt like she didn’t know much. The lady at reception whom I initially spoke to and took my booking couldn’t have been nicer though, she was professional and helpful.
