Thank you so much Hallam Removals for moving us across Sheffield. Special shout out to Becca who juggled all the jobs so we could get moved on the day we asked for and to John who managed our crew brilliantly. We payed extra to have them pack for us and it was so worth it. They took extra care over all our property and everything arrived intact. All with a smile on their faces, even at they end of a really flipping long day. As a side note I’m a teacher and it’s wonderful to see someone take time to train and support their younger employees, john was fab at this.

Hallam Removals was helpful from the beginning with a free survey from Adrian to make sure I was paying the right amount. It was a long journey but Rudolf was kind and helpful and even made sure we stopped for a coffee. Made moving so much less stressful than it could have een.

On the day of my move a team turned up with a small van and no packing materials even though we had asked for and paid for a full packing service. They went to collect boxes and another team arrived. Several times I had to stop them packing things that were needing to stay in the house. On the evening of the delivery day I received an email at 10pm informing me they would be unable to deliver all of my furniture the next day as agreed in our contract. I complained and they did bring all of the furniture in the end. When I started unpacking I found lamshades damaged, glass candle holders wrapped in a throw with no warning on the box. A one off canvas artwork damaged because it wasn't packed properly. Now I am unpacking my books. More damage! I was told that they were very stretched because they'd had to take on a job for another customer who needed to move quickly, this despite the fact that we had an agreement and had paid in full. The men were nice enough, but I felt they didn't really respect my belongings. My plants arrived a day late after sitting in a hot van for 48 hours!

Please don't give these guys to move you if you have a bigger house. I paid nearly 5k for a full service. The famous quote by a guy named Jon (who I believe is the company director) -"you pay for what you get". You definitely get pittens for what you pay. Here are my reasons for giving 1 star out of 5 1. Having paid for a full service I'm still unpacking my stuff my self 1 week after the move 2. They send you a receipt when you pay the deposit which in bold print says you only pay the final bill after the job has been completed - however they threatened to not deliver if the bill wasn't paid before delivery. When contacted Jon said it was an oversight that they have sent the wrong receipt template!! 3. During the collection of good I informed Jon that I will need my good at the new house the following Thursday. However when contacted at the start of the week Hallam Removals said that they can't deliver my stuff till the following Monday. After much begging and bribing to pay the invoice upfront they appeared on the Thursday at 4pm. 3/5 men left at 10pm while 2 others did the job till 2am but left saying that is the maximum they can do for the job. They left leaving nearly 50% of my belongings in boxes for which I had already paid for unpacking service. It is very interesting when they take the job someone comes with a tablet and make calculations per item for full service but when they leave they don't really assess how many jobs were left undone! Would they pay back the money for the jobs undone!? 4. Despite showing clearly which items need handling which way some of the men did things as they pleased 5. I moved to a new build. There were several areas the walls got scuffed by the way they moved and in one area a dent too as the men had not been instructed how to be risk aversive 6. Some of the men were nice and friendly and at times helpful so I'm giving one star for that if not for that they dont even deserve a ZERO 7. They have also scratched my dishwasher, put a special suite of mine all rolled up into a cardboard box, suggesting how some of the men have no clue as th what they are doing Please AVOID AVOID 1. If you have a big house 2. If you need the full service BEWARE 1. If you get a receipt after deposit you might have to check if you got the right template Really not worth having them
