York Golf Range

Very good place to practice, the staff were friendly and help full. Nice coffee lounge with comfy sofas. Highly recommend a few hours here to hitting golf balls, and drinking coffee. The shop is fully stock with lots of great stuff for us golfers. I met Carol very nice lady.

First time visiting tonight. Well priced driving range with spacious bays. They have automatic Tee adjustment which appears to work well. Staff are polite and they have a well stocked equipment shop. I went when it was dark and they could do with a bit more flood lighting. It was hard to see where the ball was landing and I was never above 150 yards. Would happily visit again.

Been a couple of times. Nice layout with a couple of interesting par 4s but greens are embarrassing for what they charge, dry and overgrown and difficult to differentiate green from fareway. There seems to be little to no maintenance carried out and nothing is being watered. On top of this, I've seen dog mess on the third tee both occasions I've played there. 8 pounds to hire junior clubs. 34 pounds to play 9 holes for myself and one child on father's day. No club sharing policy to maintain pace of play when I spent a good hour being held up by a group of 3 who couldn't hit the ball 20 yards. This course is terrible value for money. Drive up the road another 30 minutes and visit Snainton family course. They could learn a thing or two about course maintenance and value for money.

We popped along to try the crazy golf with my 3 and 6 year old. Staff member was very friendly and helpful. We enjoyed the crazy golf and saw another family trying the foot golf so then had a round of that too. The cafe looked very comfortable, we sat at lovely seating outside and had tasty hot drinks. Very pleasurable few hours and we will be returning. The golf range looked popular. I understand they do parties for children too and thought that would suit my boys when they are a little older.
