Shop is a mess, stuff all over the place. I picked up some Converse from a shelf ask a member of staff when i found what i wanted if the price was correct £55.00 down to £44.00 in the sale, which I was surprised at as else where the had all been over £50.00. I asked to try a pair on and was huffed at. I decided that was what I wanted got to the till to be told the price was incorrect and was £55 and they were probably put on the wrong shelf. We went and checked the price was £44 but because the till said £55 they wouldn't or couldn't do anything.

Really disappointing shopping experience at the weekend along with a bit of retail learning. Went in with my son to get some new trainers and t shirts which my son wanted to buy with his own money. While we were in there took a look at backpacks for school. Saw a really nice black Nike one labelled up fro £11. Thought it was a good deal so checked the label on the others on the rack and sure enough they were all £11. So took one to the checkout to purchase while my son bought his trainers and t shirt. The backpack scanned at £32 not the £11 it was priced at. So I went through the usual motions of asking for a manager and stating that they had to sell the item at the advertised price. Now granted I have researched it since and established that retailers do not have to honour the pricing label. What I would have wanted from manager J (not expected) was a bit more compassion or understanding from the staff members. None of them apologised for the mistake and the two that I spoke to including J the manager were rude, abrupt and lacked any appreciation for THEIR mistake. (I didn't put the price label on). What I've taken away is a learning that the price labels are meaningless and stores can charge what they like regardless of what the label says and that sports direct staff don't want to be working there anymore than I now want to shop there. To add insult to injury whilst discussing the pricing issue with J my 11 yr old was buying his backpack and t shirts I didn't realise that the t shirts labelled as 2 x £20 went through at full price £26. So we over paid on this as well. I can understand why retail shops are dying and online is thriving, you can't trust retail prices, the staff don't understand customer service and don't want to be there. Will be avoiding this shop at all costs and if I can the chain moving forward.

I recently visited Sport Direct with the intention of making a purchase, but unfortunately, my experience was far from satisfactory. I spent a considerable amount of time, approximately an hour, attempting to find the items I needed, only to encounter the inconvenience of not finding any staff members available for assistance. This lack of support significantly hindered my shopping process. When finally an employee did become available, I must express my disappointment with their approach to customer service. Their demeanor was less than welcoming, and I found it difficult to approach them with my inquiries. As a customer, I believe that a friendly and approachable attitude is crucial in creating a positive shopping experience. I understand that busy periods can be challenging to manage, but it is essential for retail establishments like Sport Direct to ensure adequate staffing levels during peak hours to avoid situations like the one I encountered. As a regular customer, I had high expectations for my visit to Sport Direct, but unfortunately, those expectations were not met. I sincerely hope that the management takes this feedback constructively and strives to improve the overall shopping experience for their customers. In conclusion, I trust that Sport Direct will address these concerns promptly and take appropriate measures to enhance their customer service and overall shopping experience. A more customer-friendly approach will undoubtedly foster loyalty among shoppers and attract new clientele. Thank you for your attention to this matter. Sincerely, Constantin

Brilliant shop love it in here always able to find everything I need. Today I bought my daughter trainers. A young woman helped me and she was very polite and showed me a wider selection of trainers which was very helpful. In June I went in to buy a bike pump. I asked for help and the woman at the front of the store said they had them near the till, she was right so I was happy. I find they are slow on the till downstairs and when the shop is empty they really should get more staff to serve you, there should not be a wait in line here.
