We've been customers for many years. the reasons are simple - thorough and conscientious eye testing combined with unrivaled and unrushed service in the selection and trialing of new glasses. your first choice of frames is often challenged with alternative, more imaginative options. and all in a very easy atmosphere. but what sets these opticians apart is the quality of their after-sales service - it's second-to-none. there have a been a couple of times when frames have been damaged and the resulting repairs have been treated in the same friendly, efficient way - just as though we were buying new glasses. even though, in our case at least, the repairs were able to be completed entirely free of charge. such service keeps you going back!

I wish it hadn't taken me this long to write a review as i've had exceptional service for the last two decades, however, never more so than in the past few months. the service going into lock down (hand delivered contact lenses with a gift!) and subsequent has been very impressive. my lenses were automatically sent out without me having to even to contact you. feels like you have been a step ahead. a very happy customer

This has got to be the best optician in aberdeen. i have worn glasses since primary school and am now in my 60s so trust me i know what i am talking about. nothing is too much trouble from the receptionists who are lovely all the way through to the optician. they have fully qualified people to help you choose the right frames and get the right fit and if something goes wrong you can pop in and chances are they will fix it there and then for you. all the staff are super friendly and helpful and the eye exam is totally professional. add in the fact that they are just at the back of union street and it is perfect.

Very happy customer! having struggled for the past few years trying to get a pair of useful varifocal specs from a well-known high street optician, and being told that it was my eyes that were the problem not the spectacles, i came to straine opticians on the recommendation of a friend. got a thorough examination with all of the high tech kit. and what a joy - brilliant specs at the first attempt - best vision i'd had for years - not once but twice ( a second pair of sun specs). frames a little more expensive than the high street chain, but worth every penny. please try them!
